Warren wants IBF champion Dubois to fight Usyk next
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has expressed his desire for IBF champion Daniel Dubois to face off against former unified cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in his next bout.
“I believe Dubois is ready for this step up in competition and Usyk would provide a great test for him,” said Warren.
Dubois, who is currently undefeated with a record of 15 wins, has been making a name for himself in the heavyweight division with his impressive performances.
Usyk, on the other hand, is coming off a successful heavyweight debut against Chazz Witherspoon and is looking to make a statement in the division.
Warren believes that a matchup between Dubois and Usyk would be an exciting one for boxing fans and would help elevate Dubois to the next level in his career.
“Dubois has all the tools to be a world champion and a fight against Usyk would be a great step towards achieving that goal,” Warren added.
The potential fight between Dubois and Usyk is still in the early stages of negotiation, but Warren is hopeful that a deal can be reached soon.
If the fight does come to fruition, it would be a highly anticipated matchup between two of the most promising heavyweights in the division.
Stay tuned for updates on this potential bout as negotiations continue between the respective camps.
